Dave grew up in South Wales, where his favorite school subject was Woodwork. He later pursued careers in agriculture and the construction industry, leading a dynamic, nomadic lifestyle.

A new chapter began when he moved to West Dorset. During the uncertain times of the Covid lockdown, a change in circumstances led him to build a shepherd’s hut in his garden, which has since become his workshop.

Now, Dave dedicates most of his time to his passion for wood art. He draws inspiration from the stunning Jurassic Coast and his experiences out at sea in Lyme Bay. The diverse shapes, sizes, and patterns of fossils and sea creatures inspire his current series of wood art.
